Loyd Fraizer Lowe, age 81 of the New River community, passed away on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, at his home with his family at his side. Born in Scott County, TN on January 24, 1941, he was the only son of the late Elsie and Leeman Lowe. He was of the Baptist faith. Loyd loved scrap iron hunting, can hunting, helping with the Mid-County Fire Department when it first started, and he loved riding around with his sons.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his great grandson, Rodney Lawson, Jr.
Loyd is survived by six children, Anna Sue of Oneida, Peggy Lowe of Huntsville, Patty and husband Rodney Lawson of Robbins, Flonnie and husband Bruce Duncan of Pioneer, Lonnie Lowe and Donnie Lowe of Mudd Street; nine grandchildren, Heather Abbott, Ashley Abbott, Arnold Lawson and fiancée Tabby, Josh Lawson and fiancée Rachel, Beth Lawson, Erick Lawson, Derick Lawson, Clifton Lawson and Amanda Tompkins and kids; 12 great grandchildren, Colton Newport, Maleah Pierce, Kennslee Adkins, Tiffiany Abbott, Amara Abbott, Dakota Jones, Kinton Lawson, Tinley Lawson, Waylon Lawson, Vyncent Lawson, Airon Lawson, Eli Lawson; special friends, David Ellis and Benji Rector; many other relatives and friends.
Friends may visit with the Lowe family on Thursday, September 1, 2022 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the New River Missionary Baptist Church.
Funeral service will be on Friday, September 2, 2022 at 11 a.m. at the New River Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Kermit Phillips officiating. Music will be provided by the New River choir, Arnold Lawson, and the Lowe family.
Committal service will follow in the Reed Cemetery in Helenwood. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
