Shirley Laxton Obituary

Shirley Faye Laxton, age 86 of Oneida, TN passed away peacefully on Friday, January 5, 2024, at Lake Cumberland Hospital in Somerset, KY. Born in Oneida, TN on July 5, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Emma Carson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Theresa Laxton.

Shirley is survived by her husband, Donald Laxton; her daughter, Donna Lawson and husband Eddie Lawson; grandchildren, Heather Laxton, David Beets Jr. and wife Chelsey Beets, and Nicholas Lawson; great grandchildren, Halle and Haidyn Beets; brother, Scotty Carson; sister, Ola Mae Carson; as well as many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

Friends may visit with the Laxton family on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at 1 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Kevin Sexton officiating.

Committal service will follow in the Howard Carson Cemetery in Oneida. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
