Steven Erl Sexton, age 62 of Oneida, TN, passed away on Monday, June 7, 2021, at the Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville, TN. Born October 16, 1958 in Detroit, MI, he was the son of Erl Sexton, and the late Arlene Peake Sexton.

In addition to his mother, he is preceded in death by his brother-in-law: Frank Kahanec.

In addition to his father, Steven is survived by his sister: Christine (Sexton) Kahanec of Spring Grove, IL; nephew: Brett Kahanec (Rache) of Lindenhurst, IL; grand niece: Olivia, grand nephew: Evan, Niece: Rachel of Spring Grove, IL; nephew: Tyler; brother: Terry Sexton of Huntsville, TN; sister: Lynne (Sexton) Dowd and Sean and nephew: Colin Dowd both of Des Plaines, IL; nieces: Erin (Dowd) Miller and Ben of Chicago, IL, and Marie (Dowd) and Mike McGing of Chicago, IL; sister: Cheryl Sexton and niece: Jilliane Sexton, both of Knoxville, TN; and many other family members and friends.

Friends may visit with the Sexton family on Wednesday, June 9, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home.
