Tony Smith

Tony G. Smith, age 67 of Oneida, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2020 at the Tennova of Turkey Creek in Knoxville, Tennessee.  Tony was born on October 14, 1952 in Scott County, Tennessee to the late Isaac (Ike) and Ollie King Smith.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Terri Vanover Smith; brothers: Roger, Harold, and James Smith; sisters: Janice Laxton and Lorena Chitwood all of Oneida, Tennessee.

He is survived by his children: Dustin Smith and wife Danielle of Oneida, Tennessee and Dylan Smith and wife Whitlee of Oneida, Tennessee; Wendy O’Neal and husband Shawn Tae of Oneida, Tennessee; Travis Smith and wife Rachel of Knoxville, Tennessee, and Benissa Terry and husband Mike of Oneida, Tennessee; seven grandchildren: Evy Smith, Maddison Smith, Lukas Smith, Seth Iturbe, River Smith, Taylor Terry, and Chloe Terry; one great grandchild: Macon Miller; one sister: Patsy Cannon of Knoxville, Tennessee; one brother: Billy Joe Smith and wife Carolyn; special nephews: Wesley Smith, Daniel Smith, and Dana Chitwood; special nieces: Lisa Smith, Lauryn Phillips, and Molly Phillips; special friends: Fred Dann and wife Jan, Gary Boyatt and Sylvia Smith; many other relatives and friends.

Friends may visit with the Smith family on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 from 12 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Boyatt and Bro. Fred Dann officiating.

Committal service will follow in the Sandhill Cemetery in Whitley City, Kentucky.
