Wilma Jean Litton Smith

Wilma Jean Litton Smith, age 87 of the Coopertown Community of Oneida, TN, passed away on Friday, April 16, 2021 at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville, TN.  Born October 22, 1933 in Oneida, TN, she was the daughter of the late Starlin Litton, Sr., and Nellie Stailey Litton, and step-grandmother Alva Stailey.

In addition to her parents and step-grandmother, she was preceded in death by her husband:  John Smith, Jr.; brother:  Starlin Litton, Jr.; sisters:  Goldie Schmitt, Agnes Smith and Mary Partington.

She is survived by her two sons:  Scott and Marty Smith of LaFollette, TN, Dwayne and Cindy Smith of Oneida; 2 grandsons:  Jonathon Lewallen of Knoxville, and Brandon and Mandy Smith of Winfield; 3 great grandchildren:  Gunner Smith, Chesney Burchfield and Harper Lee Smith; 2 step grandchildren:  Paisley Trosper and Presley Burchfield; special nieces and nephews:  Jeanette Thompkins and Claude Jr. Smith of Allardt, TN; and many other family members and friends.

Friends may visit with the Smith family on Monday, April 19, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Chad Hutson officiating.

Committal service will follow in the H. C. Smith Cemetery. 

With the Health Guidelines in place at this time, we ask that you be mindful of the social distancing measures recommended by the Centers for Disease Control.  Masks are required.
